SOMEONE TOLD YOU THE BIRTH CONTROL PILL WORKS LIKE AN EARLY ABORTION
IS THIS TRUE?
The birth control pill is made up of hormones (not natural hormones) that are used to trick the woman's body into thinking it is pregnant. The instructions are for the woman to take the pill beginning on a certain day of the cycle and ending after taking a certain number of pills. After the last pill is taken for that month, the period follows. This "period" is not a true period but is rather break through bleeding from stopping the pill temporarily before resuming it with the next month's prescription.
When a woman takes the Pill, the lining of her uterus (endometrium) does not develop properly during each cycle as it normally would be doing to get ready to nourish the baby.
The pill works in 3 ways:
1. it stops the egg from coming out of the ovary
2. it thickens the mucus so that the sperm cannot swim through and be nourished to reach the egg and fertilize it
3. it changes the lining of the uterus so that the new baby cannot adhere to it and is therefore aborted at the age of 6 or 7 days
Basic biology teaches us that the egg is fertilized in the fallopian tube, then it takes 6 or 7 days to travel down into the uterus where it embeds itself and continues to grow for the rest of the 9 month term at which time the child is born.
The moment of conception is the beginning of life. When sperm and egg unite, everything is there for this new person to exist. Nothing else is added from that day forward except nourishment.
While most people understand that the pill works by stopping the egg from coming out of the ovary, most people are unaware that it also works the other 2 ways. Doctors generally do not volunteer this information and when asked, they have been known to say: "Well, no one really knows when it works one way and when it works the other way".
If you read the MERCK MANUAL (a medical reference book doctors use) you will be able to confirm the following when you look up "Oral Contraceptives":
1. The "period" you experience when you are on the pill is really withdrawal bleeding
2. The 3 ways the pill works as explained above is confirmed in the section "physiology"
3. After age 35, use of the pill is discouraged (you can't stay on the pill forever)
4. In some women who wish to become pregnant, they stop the pill but their fertility does not return right away. The effects linger on leaving them infertile, either temporarily or permanently.
5. The pill is not 100% effective
6. Several pages of possible side effects are listed. Among these are: headache, stroke, heart attack, blood clots, high blood pressure, nausea, breast tenderness, fluid retention, fainting, increased risk of diabetes, acceleration of gallstone formation, melasma (skin discoloration), ectopic pregnancy (tubal pregnancy), depression, death.
If you read THE PHYSICIAN'S DESK REFERENCE (another medical reference book - available at any library)- you will read the following with regard to oral contraceptives: "Although the primary mechanism of this action is inhibition of ovulation, other alterations include changes in the cervical mucus which increase the difficulty of sperm entry into the uterus) and the endometrium (which reduces the likelihood of implantation)." Endometrium is a medical term referring to the lining of the uterus.
Physician labeling of the Pill product does discuss the abortive nature of the pill but it is generally left out of the prescription insert given to the patient. The following is a quote from physician labeling: "Ectopic (out of place) as well as intrauterine pregnancy may occur in contraceptive failures. However, in oral contraceptive failures, the ratio of ectopic to intrauterine pregnancies is higher than in women who are not receiving oral contraceptives, since the drugs are more effective in preventing intra-uterine than ectopic pregnancies. The higher ectopic-intrauterine ratio has been reported with both combination products and progestin-only oral contraceptives". The implication of this statement is that when ovulation and fertilization (conception) occurs during the use of the pill - as obviously, they sometimes do - the pill will act at the uterine level to prevent implantation of an embryo that gets that far, whereas an embryo beyond the uterus is out of reach. (above taken from "The Pill and IUD: Abortive" pamphlet - Human Life Center, St. John's University).
I hope this information will help many young women and women of all ages think twice before taking the pill, and in fact, not take it at all, or, if you are taking it now, stop. There is an old saying that God forgives but nature does not. We know that God is all merciful but sometimes we may still suffer the consequences of our actions in our bodies.
A woman's body is wonderfully made by God, designed to be a co-creator with Him. Preserve your good health so that you can glorify God in your body and one day have the joy of beholding your newborn baby girl or boy.
THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE….. Jesus
To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under Heaven. A time for giving birth, a time for dying A time to weep and a time for rejoicing A time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.
